Ryan has been teaching individualized drum lessons in the Portland area since 1995. His lessons are tailored to the student — they stress technique, independence, reading, transcription, preparation and above all, confidence.
He currently plays with Portland bands Sleepless (progressive metal), The Tumblers (country), and Golden Skeletons (punk/new wave).
Beginners are always welcome!
Inquire here and your first lesson is complementary.Ryan has performed and recorded extensively, with numerous bands including recent projects with Jerry A and the Neo Girls as well as Alpha Destroyer.

Remote Lessons
Since 2020 I’ve developed an approachable and accessible method of teaching for distance learning (not recommended for children under 10).
Remote lessons are offered at a substantial discount compared to in-person.
